New England Association of Christian Schools Educators’ Convention 2026
The American Association of Christian Schools (AACS) is partnering with the NEACS regional leadership to plan the NEACS Educators’ Convention in 2026. Every NEACS member school teacher and administrator can enjoy two days of encouragement and professional development! Teachers will be encouraged and will bring new and practical ideas home to make their classrooms and your schools better places for student growth!

Convention Schedule
The schedule will include two Keynote Sessions (opening and closing) and eight workshop opportunities with six or more options for each breakout.

Presenters

Pastor Paul Rebert—Keynote Speaker & Leadership
Paul Rebert is the lead pastor at First Baptist Church in Danville, Illinois, where he has served for 13 years. He grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Winchester, Virginia, and met his wife, Beth of Watertown, Wisconsin, while teaching and coaching in Indiana. He and Beth have three children, ages 15, 19, and 20. He serves on various executive boards and is the president of the Illinois Association of Christian Schools. His greatest joy is being husband, father, and pastor. He enjoys supporting the First Baptist Knights, spending time with his church family, Penn State football, and hunting.
Dan Brokke—General Education, Music, & Leadership
Dan Brokke serves as the executive director of the West Virginia Christian Education Association. He has over 40 years of Christian education experience. He has an Ed.D. in educational administration, has taught on the elementary, secondary, and college levels, and has administered Christian schools for over 30 years. For the past 15 years, Dr. Brokke has served on the accreditation commission of the American Association of Christian Schools.
Sally Brokke—Elementary Education
Sally Brokke is a retired third-grade teacher from Grace Christian School in Huntington, WV, where she spent over 25 years in the classroom. She is the creator and presenter for the AACS Summer Professional Development course: Is Your Classroom Effective and Engaging? She has served on accreditation teams in several states and given workshops at Christian educator conventions in West Virginia, Virginia, South Carolina, Hawaii, and Florida. Sally and Dan have four married sons in ministry and 14 wonderful grandchildren.
Jenny Copeland—General Education & Technology
Jenny has served as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal and thoroughly enjoys opportunities to interact with educators while serving as an educational speaker and workshop facilitator. Currently, Jenny is an educational technology manager at BJU Press and teaches a graduate-level educational technology course. Jenny is also the host of the BJU Press Teacher Edition™ podcast. She holds an MEd in elementary education, an EdS in educational leadership, and an EdD in curriculum and instruction. She is a member of the International Society for Technology in Education and is a certified educator for Google, Ozobot, Kahoot!, Nearpod, Edpuzzle, Prezi, and ScreenPal.
Rachel Cruice—Elementary Education
Rachel graduated from Bob Jones University with a degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in biblical counseling. She has taught for 13 years at Matthews Christian Academy (Matthews, NC). She currently teaches 4th grade and serves as the elementary supervisor overseeing and supporting the elementary program.
Bekah Jones—Mathematics & General Education
Beka Jones has a bachelor’s degree in mathematics education and has been teaching for over 20 years. She is the creator and presenter for the AACS Summer Professional Development course: Add Hope; Subtract Frustration; Multiply Fun; Divide and Conquer! Besides her love for teaching, she enjoys being involved in fine arts as the regional coordinator for MSAACS. Beka has three children, and her husband is an associate pastor at Victory Baptist Church in Weatherford, TX.
Lisa Joyner—Special Education
Lisa Joyner serves as the Chair of Graduate Education and Director of the EdD Program at Veritas Baptist College. She earned her master’s degree in cross-categorical special education from Regent University and her doctorate in special education from Liberty University. Since joining Veritas, Dr. Joyner has played a key role in developing both graduate and undergraduate degree programs in special education, designed to help Christian schools expand their ministries to include children with special needs. Before her work at Veritas, she founded the Specialized Learning Center as part of a Christian school in Raleigh to serve students with learning disabilities. Dr. Joyner remains passionate about helping Christian schools across the country deepen their understanding of special education and strengthen their ability to provide high-quality Christian education for students who learn differently.
George and Darlene Matzko—Science Demonstrations
George and Darlene Matzko travel nationwide (now in their eighth year), presenting dynamic, biblically grounded science programs for Christian schools and homeschool groups. Dr. Matzko taught chemistry and physics at Bob Jones University for over 40 years, while Darlene worked as an administrative assistant. George holds a PhD in analytical chemistry from Clemson University. As Matzko Science Ambassadors, they use more than 30 live science demonstrations to help students see God’s creation as scientifically fascinating and unmistakably purposeful.
Amy Parker—Middle School Science & Math
Amy graduated from Bob Jones University with an undergraduate degree in Physical Education and Composite Science. She has served alongside her husband, Brad, in Christian education for 26 years. She serves as a math and science teacher at Matthews Christian Academy (Matthews, NC) and enjoys student discipleship.
Brad Parker—Teacher/Counselor
Brad Parker has served in Christian education for 25 years as administrator, athletic director, business manager, teacher, and coach. He is passionate about helping young people think biblically about life and enjoys mentoring other administrators and teachers. He currently serves as the lead administrator at Matthews Christian Academy (Matthews, NC). He also serves as the director of regional advancement for AACS focusing his efforts in Pennsylvania and New England. He serves as an adjunct faculty member at Bob Jones University and Veritas Baptist College. He and his wife Amy have two children.
Lauren Wiggs—MS & HS Language Arts; Secondary Discipline & Discipleship
Lauren graduated from Bob Jones University with an undergraduate degree in English education and a master’s degree in teaching and learning. She has served in Christian education for 10 years as an English teacher, coach, and secondary supervisor. She currently serves at Matthews Christian Academy (Matthews, NC) where she teaches and coaches middle and high school students while overseeing and supporting the secondary program of the school.
